A Den is a small group of Scouts that are in the same grade at school and are all working toward the same rank:
Kindergarten – Lion Rank
1st grade – Tiger Rank
2nd grade – Wolf Rank
3rd grade – Bear Rank
4th grade – Webelos Rank
5th grade – Arrow of Light
A Pack is the collection of all Dens.
Our Pack is open to any boy or girl in Kindergarten through Figth Grade. Typically, our members come from Cedar Creek Elementary. However, we generally have at least a few Cub Scouts who attend other schools.
Yes! In 2018, the Boy Scouts of America (now Scouting America) started a two-year process to introduce girls into its Cub Scout and Boy Scout programs. Girls are now a part of Cub Scouts and our Pack is proud to welcome both boys and girls.
Yes, each Rank requires your Scout to participate in some outdoor activities (although camping is not explicitly required). Each year, we offer some overnight activities.
Scouts will participate in a variety of activities arranged by the Pack. When we camp outside, our members are expected to provide their own tents for overnight camping. (Some camping gear may be available to borrow upon request.)
Absolutely! We accept new members year-round. Just head over to our Application & Registration page to start the application process. You’ll receive an email with detailed instructions for completing the required paperwork. Your Scout’s Den Leader will work with you to complete your Scout's requirements to earn their rank.
You should expect to be invited to 1 to 3 Cub Scout meetings every month:
Our Dens meet once monthly to work with other Scouts in their grade to complete adventures and work towards their rank requirements.
Our Pack comes together at least monthly for a Pack meeting or other outing.
Every year, you will need to spend $TBD to pay your Scout's Dues and purchase the Rank-specific handbook. Your Scout will need to pay their annual dues ($150) when joining the Pack and every fall while your Scout is a member.
Scouts should wear their Uniforms to all Pack Meetings and Adventure Shirts to Pack Outings and Den events, unless otherwise instructed. This includes:
The Blue or Khaki Scout Uniforms shirt (or Lion t-shirt)
Uniform belt with completed adventure loops
Rank-specific neckerchief and slide
Appropriate pants, jeans, or shorts that complement their uniform shirt
For Pack and Den events where the Scouts will be more active (i.e., hikes, camping, etc.), Scouts will be instructed to wear activity-appropriate clothing.
Scouts should always be prepared and dress appropriately for the weather.
